The CARD program in Oriental Mindoro was held at the Mindoro State University Gymnasium in the Municipality of Victoria Saturday morning. It was led by Romualdez with the assistance of Oriental Mindoro Governor Humerlito Dolor, and 1st district Rep. Arnan Panaligan.
A total of 50,000 kilograms of rice were distributed to 2,000 provincial residents. The CARD program is an "ayuda" program where beneficiaries will receive P2,000 worth of assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).
This is broken down into P1,000 in cash aid and P1,000 for a 25-kilogram sack of rice.
All the beneficiaries were identified by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). They include senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents and indigenous peoples (IPs).
Meanwhile, total of 7,000 local residents received some P23 million in scholarships as well as farm and livelihood assistance under three smaller programs during the BPSF.
Hatched by the House leadership in cooperation with national government agencies tasked by President Marcos, these three programs are the Integrated Scholarships and Incentives Program (ISIP) for the Youth; the Start-up, Investment, Business Opportunity and Livelihood (SIBOL); and the Farmers Assistance for Recovery and Modernization (FARM).

The distribution was held Saturday morning at the Divine Word College of Calapan Gymnasium, where Speaker Romualdez delivered the keynote address.
For SIBOL, a total of 3,000 small entrepreneurs received P5,000 in financial aid each at the Calapan Convention Center.
The program is an initiative of Speaker Romualdez in collaboration with the DSWD to provide support not only to would-be entrepreneurs but also to existing small and micro businesses and to individuals who are seeking more employment opportunities.
For the FARM program, 2,000 farmers received P2,000 worth of cash aid each during a simple program held Saturday morning at the Bulwagang Panlalawigan Gymnasium in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
The program helps struggling rice farmers and at the same time aid in increasing the buffer stock of rice of the Marcos government.
