US Ambassador to the Philippines MaryKay Carlson, who flew back to the US in February to brief representatives from the American private sector about opportunities in the country, said she is delighted to welcome the 22 US companies to Manila.
"The Presidential Trade and Investment Mission will reinforce the Philippines as a key hub for regional supply chains and high-quality investment," she added.
In January, the US government first made an announcement about the upcoming trade mission, which will happen on March 11 to 12.
National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Adrienne Watson said the mission will enhance US companies' "contributions to the Philippines' innovation economy, connective infrastructure, clean energy transition, critical minerals sector, and the food security of its people."
The mission will also reinforce the Philippines as a key hub for regional supply chains and high-quality investment, she added.
