Hundreds benefit from Ako Bicol medical mission in 4 Albay barangays
LEGAZPI CITY, Albay – The Ako Bicol party-list conducted the Tarabangan Caravan medical and dental mission that benefitted hundreds of residents in four barangays in Malinao, Albay on Friday, March 8.

House Committee on Appropriations Vice Chairman and Ako Bicol party-list Rep. Jil Bongalon said the medical mission is a continuing effort of Ako Bicol to bring government healthcare closer to the people.
“Ito ay isang proyekto ng Ako Bicol party-list sa pangunguna ng aming House Appropriations chairman, Congressman Zaldy Co, na madala ang serbisyo medical sa ating mga kababayan lalo na sa mga hikahos sa buhay (This is a project by Ako Bicol led by House Appropriations Chairman Congressman Zaldy Co to bring government services to the people, particularly the poor," Bongalaon said.
Malinao Mayor Sheryl Capuz-Bilo and officials of recipient barangays Jonop, Cabunturan, Balza, and Burabod graced the activity.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Bicol, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and Tanchuling Hospital were among those who participated the one-day caravan.
"Ito po ay kauna-unahan dito sa bayan ng Malinao (This is the first-ever medical mission in the municipality of Malinao), but we did it so many times especially during the Mayon Volcano eruption. Not only in Albay but other provinces such as Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, and even Camarines Norte," Bongalon said.
