Drug gang member yields P340,000 shabu in buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a suspected member of a drug syndicate in a buy-bust operation in Crossing Tuguis, Barangay Buenavista Gibong, Pontevedra, Negros Occidental on Thursday, March 7.

Police identified the suspect as Jolo Española, 40, of Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, a street-level individual.

He yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, Police Major Romulo Gepilango, Pontevedra police chief, said.

Gepilango said that it took them weeks to validate information on Española’s alleged illegal activities.

Also arrested was a 49-year-old suspected member of the same drug group in Barangay Paticui, Hinigaran, on Thursday. Seized from him was P27,200 worth of suspected shabu.
