Coconut oil tanker crashes in SLEX-Magallanes; motorcycles slide due to oil spill

A coconut oil tanker crashed at South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) – Magallanes on Saturday, March 9, spilling oil in the area that caused some motorcycles to slide, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said.

According to the authorities, the road mishap occurred along the southbound lane of Magallanes Skyway entry ramp. 

Several motorcycle riders cruising along the area also slid and crashed due to the coconut oil from the tanker that spilled on the road.

The personnel said they have already cleared the area of the oil spill at around 9:31 a.m.

A traffic advisory was posted on MMDA's X account advising motorists of the traffic buildup in the area.
