In commemoration of International Women's Day, celebrity dermatologist Dr. Clarissa “Issa” Cellona, founder and lead dermatologist of Skincell Advanced Aesthetic Clinics, posted an inspiring message on her clinic’s Instagram account.

In a post made last March 8 on @skincell.care, the popular doctor wrote: “Today we honor the power, tenacity and grit of women the world over. May the success of women be celebrated everyday to inspire others and make the world a better place for all. Cheers to the true superpower. Happy International Women’s Day!”

International Women’s Day is a global celebration honoring the social, economic, cultural, and other achievements of women the world over. The day is observed annually to raise awareness against discrimination and to take action to drive gender parity.

The campaign theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is “Inspire Inclusion” which emphasizes the importance of diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected.

One of the key pillars of “Inspire Inclusion” is the promotion of diversity in leadership and decision-making positions. Women, especially those belonging to underrepresented groups, continue to face barriers when seeking leadership roles. By championing inclusion, organizations and communities can harness the full potential of diverse perspectives, leading to better decision-making and innovation.

Education and awareness play vital roles in fostering inclusion and empowering women.
