15 women groups join Pasay City Zumba dance contest

The Pasay City government conducted the “Indak ni Juana-Zumba Dance Contest” led by Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano in celebration of “Women’s Month” on Friday, March 8.

Rubiano said 15 groups participated in the Zumba dance contest held at the Pasay City Hall grounds.

“Sana sa bawat indak at padyak, maalala natin kung gaano tayo kaswerte at blessed because we are women. And we should truly dance for joy dahil ito ay biyaya na hindi lang tayo ang nabigyan, kundi pati na rin sa ating mga mahal sa buhay, komunidad, at lungsod,” Rubiano said.

Team Pasay D’ Dancing Queen was declared the dance contest's champion; followed by the ZumPasay Squad and the Super Life Ladies Malibay as the second and third placer, respectively.

The mayor said ZumPasay Squad won the best costume award and Jackielou Miguela of Superlife Malibay won as Best Female Performer.

Rubiano also showed her dance moves prior to the contest.
