ILOILO CITY – Suspected shabu valued at P1.1 million was seized from a drug pusher in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Guinticgan, Carles, Iloilo on Friday, March 8.

Police identified the suspect as Payjee, 25.
Police Major Harold Rendora, Carles police chief, said Payjee was nabbed after he sold a sachet of shabu to an undercover police officer.
The suspect yielded a total of 22 sachets of shabu weighing around 160 grams.
Police said the suspect received his supply from Iloilo City.
Payjee faces a case for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
Iloilo police chief Police Col. Ronaldo Palomo lauded the Carles MPS for their accomplishment.
“This major accomplishment reflects the dedication and commitment of the men and women of Carles MPS. Continue to perform your mandate to protect the people of Carles against the evils of illegal drugs,” said Palomo.
Palomo ordered drug pushers to cease their illegal activities. “We, Ilonggo cops, will run after all of you as we remain committed to ensuring a drug-free Iloilo province.”
Carles is the farthest town in northern Iloilo.
