Laborer shot dead in Ilocos Sur

VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur – A 55-year-old construction worker was gunned down in front of his house in Barangay Pong-ol here on Friday morning, March 8.

Police said the victim, Crecencio Recaido Tacadena, was about to enter his house when unidentified men on board a motorcycle arrived and fired at him. Tacadena died on the spot.

An empty caliber .45 shell was recovered in the crime scene.

The suspects swiftly fled after the incident and police are conducting follow-up investigation.

Police said the victim had just arrived from Barangay Salindeg where he dropped his live-in partner when he was killed.
