House Speaker Martin Romualdez provided an update on the state of health of former First Lady Imelda Marcos, who he described as in "very, very stable" condition.
"I understand that nag-normalize na yung temperature niya, but siyempre under observation," Romualdez told House reporters who asked about Marcos' condition after the groundbreaking of the Philippine Cancer Center (PCC) on Quezon Avenue, Quezon City on Friday, March 8.

"Kasi meron siyang konting pneumonia sa isang lung. Pero very, very stable and she's recovering. Maraming, maraming salamat sa concern po ninyo," said the House leader and Leyte 1st district congressman.

Marcos is the older sister of the Speaker's farther, the late former Leyte governor Benjamin "Kokoy" Romualdez.
The former First Lady was recently confined after contacting pneumonia. She remains confined, the Speaker said.
