CABATUAN, Isabela – The Department of Public Works and Highways recently completed the Magat River flood control project in Barangay Culling East here.

The project costing P71,061,011.85 will protect thousands of residents from flooding when the Magat River swells during heavy rains.
DPWH-Isabela Third District Engineering Office District Engineer Adonis A. Asis said the flood control project will also prevent damage to properties and agricultural crops in the area.
Asis said that the project spans 393.2 lineal meters and has a steel sheet pile, concrete revetment, hexapod, and other flood mitigation measures.
