Police arrested on Thursday, March 7, a 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy who robbed and shot a food handler in Las Piñas City.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspects, identified as alias Eric,19, and alias John, were arrested at around 2:05 a.m. on St. Joseph St. in Barangay Almanza Uno, Las Piñas.
According to SPD, the suspects forcibly took the motorcycle of the victim identified as alias Daryl, 30, and shot him when he resisted.
The robbers fled toward Alabang-Zapote Road.
Police said witnesses Joel, 51, a physical therapist, and alias Alexis,30, rushed the victim to Las Piñas District Hospital for treatment.
The witnesses gave vital information to the police leading to the arrest of the suspects.
The victim positively identified the two suspects as the persons who took his motorcycle and shot him.
Police said alias Eric was detained at the police custodial facility while alias John was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)- Las Piñas.
