CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P1.7 million from two drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ilayang Iyam, Lucena City, Quezon, on Wednesday, March 6.

Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas, Police Regional Office 4-A director, identified the suspects as Macho, 43, and Jugs, 29.
They were listed as high-value individuals in the Lucena City police drug watchlist and residents of Barangay Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City.
Lucas said suspects were apprehended after selling a sachet of shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
The suspects yielded two knotted transparent plastic bags of shabu weighing 85.36 grams worth P1.7 million and the buy-bust money.
Lucas lauded the operatives for a successful operation. “These efforts highlight our determination to eradicate the menace of illegal drugs from our communities. With strong collaboration and partnership with our law enforcement bodies, we showcase our steadfast commitment and dedication in making this region a safer place to live, work, and do business,” he said.
Suspects are detained at the Lucena City Police Station and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Pieces of evidence were sent to Quezon Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.
