Nonagenarian dies in Quezon smashup

ATIMONAN, Quezon â€“ A 91-year-old widow died after the tricycle she was riding in was rammed by a car on the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Angeles, this town, on Thursday morning, March 7.

Police said the victim, Filomena, was onboard a tricycle driven by Fernando Reyes, 63, when the Honda car driven by businessman Stephen, 42, crashed into the tricycle which was making a U-turn.

Filomena was thrown out and sprawled on the road. She die on the spot due to serious injuries.

Stephen faces charges of homicide and damage to property.
