Man nabbed for illegal firearm sale in General Trias, Cavite

CAVITE – Authorities apprehended a man for illegal firearm sale in General Trias City on Wednesday, March 6.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office identified the suspect as alias JonJon.

After close monitoring and surveillance, alias JonJon was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by General Trias Component City Police Station operatives.

Confiscated during the sting operation were a caliber 5.56 rifle, a magazine, and buy-bust money.

The pieces of evidence will be turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City for ballistic examination.

The suspect, meanwhile, is facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
