Fresh from her successful debut in Hollywood, Filipino actress Liza Soberano flew in from Japan, where she attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in Tokyo. She quickly stopped in Manila to launch her new ad campaign for an ongoing endorsement with Maya.

Liza, 26, wowed the crowd in her green outfit at the Maya event held at the BGC in Taguig City last Tuesday night. "I'm so happy to be back in the Philippines. It's been over a year since I announced my major decision to pursue a career in Hollywood. I'll never forget the love and support I received from my fans, family, friends, my incredible team, especially from my Maya family. Maya was one of the companies that took a risk on me, giving me the platform to show the people what I'm capable of."

As she shines in the global scene, Maya is powering her with a sexy black Maya card that enables seamless payment transactions whenever she is in California or other global travel destinations.

Liza said she had just arrived from Japan Monday night. "While in Japan, I went shopping. I bought some sneakers, makeup, and skincare (products). That's where I used my Maya." Hours after the Maya launch, Liza flew back to the US.

During a sit-down interview for the same event, Liza said she now considers Los Angeles her second home.

"LA is my second home right now. Syempre iba pa rin ang Manila. I found ways to make LA more homey for me. I've been immersing myself in the vibrant culture of LA. There are so many different people to learn from and find my people. I've been trying to explore and find the right place to live because it's a problem traveling with my suitcase," Liza said.

The actress said starring in a Hollywood film was a dream come true for her.

"It still feels unreal to be included in such an incredible project headed by a group of talented people. I'm grateful for the experience throughout the whole process. I am inspired to work harder and do more," she said.

Regarding the best money advice, Liza said: "Over the years, I have been conscious about my spending habits and finances, especially while balancing my time between two countries.

"But I've learned to value investing in myself and prioritizing things that will bring me closer to my life or career goals. I splurge on things that can help me take one step closer to my dreams," she added.

Building on the success of last year's collaboration with Liza, Maya continues to push boundaries by introducing Dolly De Leon, a celebrated Filipina actor who has captivated audiences both locally and globally.

Together, Maya brought to life two stars who embody the spirit of defiance and optimism, inspiring Filipinos to break free from limitations and embrace new possibilities in an increasingly digital world.

Liza said she was thrilled to work with Dolly. "We have had the opportunity to work on projects but have yet to get to know each other and talk off-set. So, I was looking to build that relationship with her. She's an incredible actress. I learned much from her and am excited to do more things with her."

Known for her notable, award-winning performances, Dolly has become an influential figure in both the local and international film community. Her expanding horizons also means a busy schedule that sees her jetting off to film locations. Dolly takes full control over these changes by getting banked with Maya.

“I use Maya because I hate going to a bank branch, especially with my busy schedule, to fill out forms for a simple transaction when I can do all that on my phone. And just like Liza, I use my Maya card to pay for everything, especially when traveling to various places for work. It really does let me do things with my money, my bank, my way," Dolly said in a video clip.

Dolly could not attend the live media conference for Maya because of her tight schedule in Germany, where she is currently taping a mini-series with Nicole Kidman.

Maya’s short film features Liza and Dolly’s acting chops alongside fun and unique references to iconic Hollywood films and pop culture.

From Assassin Liza to Kaiju Dolly, every scene in the film brings fun and excitement as it shows why Maya is as easy as a wallet and safe as a bank.

Pepe Torres, Maya's Chief Marketing Officer, expresses his enthusiasm, saying, "We're thrilled to have Liza and Dolly pushing boundaries of payments and banking with Maya, as you’ve seen in the newly launched short film. They make the country proud as they achieve greater heights on the global scene. They embody the spirit of defiance and optimism, making them the perfect ambassadors for Maya.”

Pepe added: "The Maya card is globally accepted at over 80 million stores and ATMs worldwide, offering unparalleled user convenience. Filipinos can start investing in mutual funds, crypto, or stocks through Maya, unlocking opportunities to grow their wealth. Qualified customers can also enjoy instant approval for Maya loan products, providing financial flexibility when it's needed most."
