Converge guard Adrian Wong is stepping away from basketball to focus on improving his well-being, his agency Titan Management Group posted on social media on Thursday, March 7.

According to the statement, Wong will briefly take a break from playing basketball to make himself better for future endeavors.
“After careful consideration, I’ve chosen to take a step back from playing basketball for the meantime. This decision stems from a personal need to recharge physically and mentally,” Wong stated.
With his absence, the Aldin Ayo-mentored squad is expected to rely on Deschon Winston, Alec Stockton, Inand Fornilos and Mike Nieto on the guard rotation.
“I believe that this is in my best interest as I’ll be able to spend much needed time with my family and girlfriend,” he added.
The 28-year-old dribbler also thanked his loved ones, his team, the FiberXers and the PBA community for considering his current state.
“I appreciate the understanding and support of everybody around me, especially my family and friends, the players and management of the Converge FiberXers, and the rest of the PBA community,” he concluded.
He averaged 1.2 points and 1.1 rebounds last conference, where the FiberXers ended up with a 1-10 record.
Wong was selected fifth overall by Rain or Shine in the 2019 PBA Draft before he was shipped to Magnolia for a two-year deal in 2022.
In the following year, he was traded by the Hotshots along with a first-round pick in exchange of Abu Tratter and David Murrell.
