The Minor Basilica and National Shrine of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo Church) in Manila is inviting the faithful to join the activities to be held at the church during the observance of the Holy Week.

The Stations of the Cross sa Pamayanan will be held on Sunday, March 17, at 1:30 p.m.
The Pabihis sa Poong Hesus Nazareno will be held on March 20, Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m.
Anticipated masses for Palm Sunday will be celebrated on March 23, Saturday, at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and at 7 p.m.
On Palm Sunday, the first day of the Holy Week, on March 24, a procession will be held at 4 a.m. starting in Plaza Lacson-Carriedo. Hourly masses will be held from 5 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The traditional Pabasa ng Pasiong Mahal will be held from March 25 to 27 (Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday) at 3 p.m. Masses will be celebrated by the hour from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 5 p.m. and at 6 p.m.
A “senakulo” (Passion Play) to be led by the Parish Youth Ministry will be staged on March 27, Holy Wednesday, at 7 p.m. in Plaza Miranda.
On Maundy Thursday on March 28, the Chrism Mass (to be held at the Manila Cathedral) will be held at 7 a.m. The mass in commemoration of the Last Supper will be held at 5 p.m.
The holy vigil and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament (Altar of Repose) will be observed from 7 p.m. until 12 midnight. This will be followed by the Black Nazarene procession at midnight on March 29, Good Friday.
Morning prayers (Novena to the Poong Hesus Nazareno and Novena and Chaplet to the Divine Mercy) will be held at 8 a.m. At 12 noon, the Seven Last Words will be commemorated followed by the commemoration of the Passion of Christ at 3 p.m. and the procession for the Sacred Interred Christ at 4 p.m.
On Black Saturday, March 30, a solemn procession will be held at 7 a.m. followed by morning prayers at 8 a.m. A novena and Chaplet to the Divine Mercy will be held at 3 p.m.
The Easter Vigil will start at 8 p.m. to be highlighted by a procession and “salubong.”
Finally, on Easter Sunday, March 31, masses will be celebrated by the hour from 5 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The observance of the Holy Week, the culmination of the 40-day season of Lent that began on Ash Wednesday, begins on March 24, Palm Sunday of the Lord’s Passion and ends on March 31, Easter Sunday.
