CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The Police Regional Office-13 seized illegal drugs valued at P8.4 million in a two-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operation in the Caraga region from March 1 to 2.

PRO 13-Regional Public Information Office chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said 17 suspected drug pushers were arrested – six high-value individuals and 11 street-level individuals.
Recovered from the suspects were 463.9 grams of shabu worth P3.1 million and three grams of marijuana valued at P360.
A 51-year-old drug pusher, tagged as an HVI and in the top priority target, was arrested in Barangay Taft, Surigao City. Suspect yielded 21 sachets of shabu weighing 352 grams and valued at P2.3 million.
A one-kilo brick of cocaine worth P5.3 million was discovered by two fishermen in the sea of Tandag City and was turned over to authorities on Saturday, March 2.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft commended operating units for their accomplishments.
"These remarkable achievements stand as a testament to the dedication and commitment of the Caraga police force in freeing our region from the scourge of illegal drugs,” he said. “We will continue to strengthen our resolve to eradicate this menace, so expect more intensified operations in the days ahead.”
