MORE Power opens modern control center in Iloilo City

ILOILO CITY – MORE Electric and Power Corp. (MORE Power), the sole electric distributor of this city, has launched the first modern power control center in Panay Island.

MORE Power recently started using the Supervisory Control and Data acquisition (SCADA) System.

MORE Power President and Chief Executive Officer Roel Castro explained that SCADA not only benefits internal operations but also consumers.

MORE Power’s SCADA System utilized advance software, hardware, and intelligent programming.

“The SCADA is the brain of the distribution system,” Castro said.

The SCADA System gives MORE Power the capacity to monitor in real-time and respond to any necessary situation.

It provides MORE Power information that can make it more efficient and effectively respond to unscheduled power interruptions and other problems.

The SCADA System has a 24/7 helpline, default detection, predictive maintenance activities, and automated data recording.

The SCADA System is one of the key developments as MORE Power marked its fourth year of operations in Iloilo City, the regional capital of Western Visayas.
