Grade 11 student falls in Cadiz City drug bust

BACOLOD CITY – Police arrested a 17-year-old Grade 11 student in a buy-bust operation in Hacienda Carmen, Barangay Daga, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, March 5.

Police Lt. Col. John Joel Batusbatusan, Cadiz police chief, said the suspect was subjected to the operation  following reports from teachers about his illegal activity.

The suspect was nabbed after he sold a sachet of dried marijuana leaves to a police asset for P500.

Recovered from the suspect was six sachets of dried marijuana leaves weighing 60 grams worth P7,200.

He is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
