CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police seized shabu worth P522,920 and a firearm from a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, March 5, in Barangay Maly, San Mateo, Rizal.

Police Regional Office 4-A Director Police Brig. Gen. Paul Kenneth Lucas identified the suspect as Bong, 46, of Barangay Maly.
Bong, a high-value individual, was arrested after he sold one heat-sealed transparent sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
Lucas commended the San Mateo Municipal Police Station-Drug Enforcement Team for a successful operation.
"The dedication and professionalism displayed by our law enforcement officers in this operation are commendable. Their relentless efforts in combating illegal drugs contribute significantly to our mission of maintaining peace and order in our community," he said.
Lucas urged public support in the police campaign against illegal drugs. “I encourage everyone to take inspiration from this accomplishment and continue to support our law enforcement agencies in our mission to create a safer and drug-free environment for all.”
Suspect, who is detained at the San Mateo MPS, faces drug-related charges. Seized drugs were taken to the Rizal police Forensic Group for laboratory examination. Firearm and bullets are undergoing ballistic tests.
