The Pasay City government prepared employment programs for all women in the city in celebration of Women’s Month on Thursday, March 8.
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) will hold activities like job fair, livelihood program and free enrolment for vocational courses at the Pasay City Astrodome from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Rubiano said the “Trabaho para kay Juana” program includes a job fair, awarding of “bigasan package” to beneficiaries, and free enrollment to skills training offered by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
She said the job fair offers 6,000 job openings from 35 participating companies.
The mayor said a one-stop shop will also be conducted by participating government agencies such as the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig, PhilHealth, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and the Department of Migrant Workers and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Rubiano said the city government will also offer free skills training in coordination with TESDA Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs).
She said the TESDA TVIs offers domestic work, caregiving, housekeeping; bookkeeping, automotive servicing, driving, bartending, and instrumental servicing courses.
TESDA TVIs also offers skill training on bread and pastry, cookery, food and beverage, ships catering, event management, trainers methodology, technical drafting, and electronics servicing.
Rubiano advised those interested for free skills training to visit Pasay City Astrodome and bring a barangay certificate and a valid identification card (ID).
