Personnel of the Lingayen police station rescued two distressed dogs left exposed to the scorching heat on the highway.
Police dialogued with the owner and explained the coverage of the Animal Welfare Act.
They stressed the need to relocate the dogs for their safety and legal compliance.
The owner fully understood the Animal Welfare Act.
The owner thanked the PNP for the enlightenement and assistance in relocating the animals.
Police Lt. Col. Vicente P Castor Jr., officer-in-charge of the Lingayen police station, vowed that they will not only serve the people of Lingayen but also uphold the welfare of animals within the community.
