PLDT extends tech solutions to agri firm

PLDT Inc.’s business arm PLDT Enterprise will provide connectivity solutions to the operations of aqua and agro-industry firm Charoen Pokphand Foods Philippines Corp. (CPF Philippines).

CPF Philippines, a subsidiary of Thailand conglomerate Charoen Pokphand Group Company Ltd., seeks to utilize PLDT's technologies to better deliver and distribute their aquatic and agricultural products.

Among the digital solutions to be provided are enterprise broadband to connect aquatic farms, iGate premium circuits for handling data in feed mills, and Metro E-WAN and SD-WAN to secure internal communications.

CPF Philippines will also make use of Smart Bro and Smart Postpaid networks for its operations, as well as the services afforded by the VITRO Clark data center, operated by ePLDT's subsidiary VITRO Inc.

“Colocating their data in a state-of-the art facilities such as VITRO Clark will ensure CPF Philippines’ unparalleled reliability and redundancy, crucial for disaster recovery and continuous operations," said PLDT Enterprise Vice President and Enterprise Revenue Group Head Jay Lagdameo.

“Through this collaboration, we are set to enhance our operational capabilities, ensuring the highest standards of quality and sustainability for our products,” said CPF Philippines Associate Vice President Park Kitchaichankul.
