P6.8-M shabu seized in Butuan City buy-bust

BUTUAN CITY – Police confiscated suspected shabu valued at P6.8 million and arrested two drug pushers in a buy-bust operation here on Monday, March 4.

The Police Regional Office-13 identified the suspects as high-value individuals Jun, 44, and Noynoy, 47. Also recovered from the suspects were P100,000 cash and drug paraphernalia.

The operation was conducted in the presence of a barangay kagawad (councilor), media, and representative from the Department of Justice.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft lauded operating units for their accomplishment.

“We will file airtight charges against these personalities for violation of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002,” Kraft said. “There is no slowing down in our efforts to trace and arrest those involved in the illegal drugs trade.”

PRO-13 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) chief Police Major Jennifer S. Ometer said suspects face appropriate charges.
