P14-M shabu seized in 7 days in Western Visayas

ILOILO CITY – The Police Regional Office-6 seized more than P14-million worth of suspected shabu in Western Visayas in the second week of the leadership of Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky.

“We will not stop,” said Wanky.

These illegal drug was seized in 40 anti-drug operations in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental provinces and the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod from February 26 to March 3.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) seized the biggest amount of shabu, valued at more than P5.9 million, with a 44-year-old lady drug pusher in Estancia town yielding P5.5-million worth of the "poor man's cocaine."

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) confiscated P5.6-million worth of shabu from 11 anti-drug operations.

Third was the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) which seized more than P2-million worth of shabu from 13 anti-drug operations.
