New lipsticks to help beat the summer heat

Because our lips need SPF and moisturizer, too!

Unknown to many, lips’ dryness is caused not just by water dehydration but also due to direct exposure to UV rays that infiltrate the lips. Without proper moisturizer and SPF protection, it can lead to chapped lips and, yes, sunburns.

Now that we’re starting to feel the scorching heat of summer days, here are the latest lip products to keep puckers moisturized and protected all day long.

Issy Solar Balm
Local makeup brand Issy reintroduced its solar balm. The solar balm is available in soft matte and glossy finish with SPF 30 for UV protection. It also comes in six different colors each finish. This balm can be used as a primer or on top of your favorite lipsticks.

Everbilena Colorlock Lippie
This one is for you if you want an all-day-long lip color without the drying feeling. Made with vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and other nourishing oils, this is a smudge-proof, matte finish lippy without dryness.

Chu Chu Velvet Blur Tint

With a cushion formula, this tint can has a long wearing stay just like a liquid lipstick but the blur similar to a lip mousse. This is also made with non-drying formula in matte finish.

Teviant She Balm
Newly dropped in the market, this vegan balm is enriched with soybean glycerides, shea butter hyaluronic acid, and castor oil for that lightweight finish with four times more hydration. It comes with five different shades of glossy finish.

Happy Skin Lip Mallow
With more than 600,000 units sold, this one is a cult favorite. Infused with marshmallow extract and coffee arabica seed oil, it gives weightless and pigmented color that can last for hours.

Nature Republic's Honey Melting Lip
This viral Korean lipgloss is made with honey extract and flower extracts, providing hydration with a soft finish. With its melting-gel-like texture, a small amount of product will be enough.

Avon's Makeup + Care lipstick
It comes in two finishes—matte and shine. This lipstick line is designed to treat lips by providing hydration and strengthening the moisture barrier.
