DOH to lead opening of first 'BUCAS' facility in Central Luzon
A significant milestone in healthcare accessibility will be marked with the inauguration of the First Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service (BUCAS) Facility on Wednesday, March 6.

Hosted at the Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital Ambulatory Surgical and Multi-Specialty Center (JASMC) in San Vicente, Sto. Tomas, Pampanga, said that the event signals a new era in medical service provision for the region.
The Department of Health (DOH) also noted that this move aimed to address the ambulatory medical and surgical care needs of Central Luzon residents, particularly in Pampanga and its neighboring municipalities.
Additionally, aligned with the DOH's mandate to bring healthcare services closer to the Filipino people, the integration of the BUCAS facility into the operations of the JASMC is a strategic step toward meeting urgent medical demands in the region.
Moreover, the JASMC, situated on 5,000 square meters of land in Barangay San Vicente, Santo Tomas, Pampanga, stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of local officials and stakeholders.
Last year, Mayor Johnny Sambo, Vice Mayor Jun Pineda, Municipal Councilors, and Congresswoman Anna York Bondoc spearheaded the donation of the facility and additional land to the DOH.
Notable attendees at the inauguration include DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, Health Undersecretary Dr. Maria Rosario Vergeire, DOH CLCHD Regional Director Dr. Corazon Flores, and various local government officials and representatives.
