Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano lauded the Pasay Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP) personnel for their hard work in saving lives and properties during fire incidents.
“Let us continue exhibiting passion in doing your job, always keeping in mind that you are in the noble profession of protecting properties and lives. Your performance in the name of public service shall always be written in the hearts of the people whose lives you touch,” Rubiano said during the flag raising ceremony.
She urged everyone to take appropriate action to prevent fire, adding they must always be alert to save themselves, relatives and important belongings in case a fire occurs.
The mayor also reminded the residents that March is not only Fire Prevention Month but also Women's Month.
She praised all the modern “Juana’s” who have given their time for their families and their talents to the community.
She said to pamper and honor all the “Juana’s”, the city government prepared various activities for the entire “Women’s Month”.
