CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – Ten lady policemen and a civilian personnel were awarded medals for their achievements during the Women’s Month kickoff ceremony of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera in this camp on Monday, March 4.

The awarding was led by Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera chief, and Dr. Nancy Bantog, Department of Science and Technology-Cordillera director, guest of honor and speaker.
Recipients were Police Capt. Rebecca Bilog, Lt. Col. Geraldine Aydoc, Staff Sgt. Jasmin Apple Salve, Non-Uniformed Personnel Susan Molitas, Chief Master Sgt. Jenny Lyn Bengwasan, Chief Master Sgt. Marjorie Rivera, Master Sgt. Yanie Mae Lachaona, Master Sgt. Rhescien Mae Vicente, Staff Sgt. Harlene Ballay, Corporal Rheem Galut, and Patrolwoman Lilybeth Abeya.
Bantog said that the celebration of Women’s Month is proof of dedication and support to an inclusive society.
"I would like to salute PRO-Cordillera for recognizing the women in your agency. This initiative makes every heart of a woman glow. Truly, you are mindful of Proverbs 31:31 ‘Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate,’” Bantog said.
This year’s National Women’s Month has the theme “We for gender equality and inclusive society” and the sub-theme “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas: Husay ng Kababaihan, Patunayan!”
