Nigerian arrested for using fictitious name, document forgery in QC
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) arrested a Nigerian on Monday, March 3, for using fictitious name and document forgery.

The suspect was identified as Angel Chioma Okonkwo, 23-years old and currently residing in Caloocan City.
According to QCPD, the suspect managed to receive a total of P202,000 from different branches of a remittance center in February while using a Republic of Ghana passport under the names of Ericka Mae Reyes and Dani Narcisa Reyes, which alarmed the establishment’s management.
On March 3, Okonkwo reportedly used a passport, this time from the Republic of Somalia under the name Dani Narcisa Hall and attempted to make a transaction at another branch of the remittance center in a shopping mall in Novaliches, Quezon City.
The suspect was supposed to receive P110,430 from the United States of America (USA) but personnel of the remittance center noticed a discrepancy on the suspect’s identitification documents, which prompted them to seek the assistance of Pasong Putik Police Station (PS-16) personnel who immediately arrested Okonkwo.
Police recovered the remittance money worth P110,430, the Somali passport bearing the name Dani Narcisa Hall, and the remittance receipt.
Okonkwo will be charged with using a fictitious name and falsifying a document before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan lauded the swift action of the authorities and urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities.
