Farmer's burned body found in Pangasinan

MALASIQUI, Pangasinan – The charred remains of a 65-year-old farmer were found in a farm Barangay Aliaga here on Sunday, March 3.

Police identified the victim as Rodolfo Ferrer Perreras. The victim was positively identified by his wife Jocelyn.

Jocelyn said Rodolfo left their house to clear a corn field owned by Luis Tulagan in preparation for the planting of mung beans or monggo.

He was last seen alive by a neighbor, Jonathan, working in the field. Jonathan later saw Rodolfo’s slightly burnt body.

Police have asked the Urdaneta City Satellite Forensic Unit in Urdaneta City, Pangasinan to process the crime scene.

An autupsy of the victim by the municipal health office has been sought to determine Rodolfo’s cause of death.
