Pasay LGU prepares activities for 'Women's Month' celebration

The Pasay City government prepared various activities for the celebration of “Women’s Month” this March.
Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said a priority lane called "pink lane" was launched for all women who will be visiting Pasay City Hall.
Other programs are “Libreng sakay para kay Juana” and “We just Juana thank you!” which offers free service records and certificate of employment from March 1 to 31.
Rubiano said the city government also prepared “Kumusta ka, Mabeauty” to pamper all women employees from March 4 to 8 to be held at the 2nd floor of Pasay City Hall; a colorful “Parada ni Juana” to start at Pasay City Hall to be followed by “Zumba para kay Juana” to be held at Cuneta Astrodome.
She said on March 8, the city government will hold “Trabaho para kay Juana” job fair and a seminar called “Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan”, both to be held at Cuneta Astrodome from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Other activities prepared for all “Juana’s" on March 8 are “Kandili Mobile Clinic” from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; “Mayor Emi’s Kitchen” at 10:00 a.m.; and “Indak ni Juana” from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., all to be held at the Pasay City Hall grounds.
Rubiano said another “Kumusta ka, Mabeauty” will again be conducted to give free checkups to all women from March 11 to 15 at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Pasay City General Hospital.
The city government will also conduct “Tuloy-tuloy na Kalinga para kay Juana” on March 13 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon for free bone scanning, and hemoglobin and hematucurit tests on the second floor of Pasay City Hall; papsmear and mammogram on March 19 to 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to be held at Pasay City General Hospital; and “Buntis Congress” on March 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to be held at Pasay City Session Hall.
The mayor said a comprehensive intervention against gender-based violation called “STOP” will be held on March 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and “Patas na Lipunan para kay Paraluman” will be conducted on March from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Rubiano said a mental health awareness program will also be conducted on March 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The mayor is inviting all women in the city to join the EMI shopping bag contest on March 25 by showing their eco-friendly and most innovative shopping bag.
