UNLAD-Pinas advocacy campaign launches in Butuan City

The United National Leaders for Advancement and Democracy-Pinas (UNLAD-Pinas) has expanded its advocacy campaign to create a platform for dialogue and informed discourse in Butuan City, Surigao del Norte.

UNLAD-Pinas aims to strengthen solidarity among citizens from various sectors through well-founded discussions on relevant and important issues concerning progress and development on the national and local levels.

House Deputy Secretary General Ponyong Gabonada, who graced the opening ceremony of the event, informed the attendees on the importance of exploring new perspectives and embracing change.

Gabonada says that a platform like UNLAD-Pinas will encourage the public to engage with experts and stakeholders from different backgrounds.

As a government program, it advocates for nationalism, active citizenry in nation-building, and the promotion of transformational leadership.

“The program seeks to cultivate transformational leadership qualities among individuals in positions of authority and influence. Through leadership development initiatives, mentorship programs, and capacity-building activities, UNLAD PINAS aims to nurture a new generation of leaders who are committed to driving positive change and advancing the common good,” a press release read.

UNLAD-Pinas officially launched in Calapan, Oriental Mindoro last March 10.

During the dialogues in Butuan City, experts shared varying perspectives about the ongoing proposals to amend the economic provisions of the 1987 Constitution.
