'Exhuma' dominates monthly box office in March in South Korea
The Korean horror film “Exhuma” dominated the box office in South Korea in March, garnering 62 percent revenue share.
According to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC), which tracks box office receipts, “Exhuma,” starring Choi Min-sik, Kim Go-eun, Yoo Hae-jin and Lee Do-hyun, bagged the No. 1 spot in March, selling 7.11 million tickets and earning a gross of $51.4 million for a revenue share of 61.75 percent for the month.

Since its release in South Korea on Feb. 22, “Exhuma” has garnered 10.81 million in total admissions and gross of $77.43 million.
With its total admissions, “Exhuma” emerged as the No. 1 film in South Korea this year to date.
Placing second in March is the Hollywood film “Dune: Part Two,” with 1.59 million in total admissions and gross of $14 million.
In third place is the Korean movie “Troll Factory” with 418,028 tickets sold and gross of $2.82 million.
“Wonka” claimed fourth place in March with 395,555 tickets sold and gross of $2.8 million followed by “Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire” with 232,940 in total admissions and $1.72 million in monthly gross.
Since its release on Jan. 31, “Wonka” has grossed $25.12 million in South Korea with 3.52 million tickets sold.
