Seventeen illegal gamblers and five suspected drug peddlers were arrested in the different anti-criminality operations conducted by Bulacan police on Saturday and Sunday, March 30, and 31.
Based on the reports from Col. Relly B. Arnedo, Bulacan police director, a series of buy-bust operations conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit by operatives of Pulilan, Norzagaray, Balagtas, and Angat resulted in the arrest of five drug peddlers.

Confiscated during the operations were a total of 18 plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 4.23 grams amounting to P28,764; drug paraphernalia, and buy-bust money.
The arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit for appropriate examination, while criminal complaints for violations of R.A. 9165 are now being prepared against the suspects for filing in court.
Meanwhile, an anti-illegal gambling operation conducted by San Jose del Monte City police, Bocaue, and Bustos municipal police stations resulted in the arrest of 17 illegal gamblers.
They were caught in the act of playing and betting on an illegal coin game (Cara y Cruz), an illegal drop ball, cards, and a color game at Peryahan.
Confiscated evidence from the suspects included six pieces of one-peso coins used as pangaras, illegal games paraphernalia (wooden drop balls, cards, and wooden color games with dice), and bet money in different denominations.
The arrested suspects are currently under the custody of the arresting station.
