14 rescued from capsized boat in Quezon

BURDEOS, Quezon â€“ Fourteen passengers were rescued from a boat that capsized in the sea in Barangay San Rafael, this town, on Black Saturday.

Police Lt. Sherwin Padua, duty officer at the port of San Rafael, received information that a private boat owned by Roy Rotaquio sank due to big waves while sailing in Binumbunan Island.

Police and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council conducted a rescue operation.

All passengers were rescued and unharmed.
