Waterless Black Saturday and Easter Sunday in some parts of Rizal Province

Many parts of Antipolo City, Taytay, Teresa, Morong, Angono and Binangonan in Rizal Province had no water supply on Black Saturday following two separate emergency repair works by Manila Water in the province.
Based on Manila Water Service advisory on its Facebook page at 6:30 p.m., the water service interruption in some areas in Angono and Binangonan have been moved from 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, to 6 a.m. on Sunday, March 31.
According to the advisory, the emergency works at Eastridge Reservoir in Binangonan caused water service interruption in the following areas in Angono and Binangonan:
Angono, Rizal:
- Brgy. San Roque
- Upper portion of Unamonte Subdivision, Sitio Manggahan, upper portion of Col. Guido
Binangonan, Rizal:
- Barangay Pag asa (Upper portion of Col. Guido Ext. upper portion of Graceville Subd.)
- Barangay Bilibiran (Lumina Homes, Camella Homes, Village East, Prime East, Sunflower Subd.)
- Barangay Palangoy (Thunderbird Resort, Eastridge Golf Villas)
Manila Water said the repair activity in Binangonan was expected to be up to 6 a.m. on March 31, Easter Sunday.
In an earlier post of the east zone water concessionaire, a separate emergency works at Lucban Pumping Station 2 at Olalia Road in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Antipolo City has resulted in many parts of Antipolo City, Taytay, Angono, Teresa and Morong without water.
The service advisory which was posted on the social media pages of Manila Water around 4 p.m. stated that the repair activity will last up to 10 p.m. on March 30.
The affected areas without water as of this posting at past 7 p.m. were the following areas:
Antipolo City:
Barangays Dalig, San Jose, San Luis, Dela Paz, San Isidro, San Roque, Sta. Cruz, Mambugan, and Beverly Hills
Taytay, Rizal:
Barangay Dolores
Angono, Rizal:
Barangay Mahabang Parang
Teresa, Rizal:
Barangays Bagumbayan, Dalig, Dulumbayan, May-Iba, Poblacion, Prinza, San Gabriel, San Roque, Calumpang, and Sto. Cristo
Morong, Rizal:
Barangay San Guillermo
Manila Water said the estimated time of completion has been extended from 6 p.m. up to 10:00 p.m. on March 30, 2024.

In its social media post, the water concessionaire expressed its apology “for the inconvenience” the service interruption has caused.
