OPAMINE mourns death of SEC Commissioner Hubert Guevara

DAVAO CITY – The Office of the Presidential Assistant for Eastern Mindanao (OPAMINE) mourned the death of Securities and Exchange Commissioner and former Senior Deputy Executive Secretary Hubert Dominic Guevara on Good Friday at the age of 56.

OPAMINE Secretary Leo Tereso Magno on Black Saturday said Guevara would be remembered as a dedicated public servant whom he had the privilege of knowing personally.

Magno condoled with the family of Guevera and said his unwavering commitment to serving the Filipino people was truly commendable and inspiring.

He said Guevara’s passing is a great loss for the country as he had so much more to offer in the public service. He added that the entire OPAMINE office offered their heartfelt condolences to his family and the Marcos administration.

“Our thoughts are with all those who knew and worked alongside Hubert during this difficult time,” Magno said.

Guevara used to be a managing partner at Joaquin Guevara Adarlo and Caoile Law Offices. He had also been an instructor at private institutions according to the corporate regulator.
