Trips were safe as PCG-Iloilo deployed around 200 personnel that inspected 168 vessels and 155 motor bancas.

Many of the travelers were pilgrims or visitors, particularly those crossing this city and the island-province of Guimaras for pilgrim sites and the Pagtaltal sa Bala-an Bukid or the reenactment of the crucifixion of Jesus atop the Bala-an Bukid in Jordan town.

People travelled to northern Iloilo, especially the resort-islands in the towns of Carles and Concepcion, and also to between here and Bacolod City as well as  Dumangas to Bacolod.

The number of sea passengers for the rest of the Holy Week is expected to increase until Easter or even Monday when people return to work or schools.
