This comes more than a month since the Philippines’ second stint in the 2024 Pinatar Cup in Spain where it failed to convert any goal against higher-ranked European sides — finishing dead-last in the four-team competition.

Olivia McDaniel will be joined by three other goalkeepers in Gabrielle Baker, Nina Meollo and Inna Palacios in the rotation.

Veteran midfielder Tahnai Annis will be mixed with Sara Eggesvik, Kaya Hawkinson, Katrina Guillou, Charisa Lemoran, Natalie Oca, Alexa Pino, Quinley Quezada and Camille Sahirul in the lineup.

Filipinas star Sarina Bolden is then joined by Isabella Bandoja, Alessandrea Carpio, Carleigh Frilles, Nina Mathelus, Chandler McDaniel and Chayse Ying in the attacking position.

Angela Beard, Hali Long and Sofia Harrison will be on the defensive end with Maya Alcantara, Reina Bonta, Rhea Chan, Jessika Cowart, Cathrine Graversen and Aiselyn Sia.

The last three times the Filipinas faced the Koreans ended in painful defeats, with the recent beating coming at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China last year that saw Bolden open the scoring to lead South Korea briefly before losing 5-1 in full time.
