Farmer drowns in irrigation canal in Nueva Vizcaya

CAUAYAN CITY, Isabela â€“ A 69-year-old farmer drowned in an irrigation canal in Barangay Wacal, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya on Good Friday.

DOWNTOWN Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Police identified the victim as Junilito Edwin Salvador, a resident of Barangay Casat, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

Investigation said the victim lost control of his mountain bike on his way home from a drinking session with his half-brother and plunged into an irrigation canal.

His body was swept away and was found on a river.
