Child rescued from drowning on Magat River

LUNA, Isabela – A four-year-old child was rescued from drowning on the Magat River in Barangay Lalog 2 here on Good Friday.

Police said the victim left his family who were having a picnic to swim on the river unnoticed.

He was seen drowning and was rescued by authorities.

Rescuers revived the victim who was taken to a hospital.

Meanwhile, a 30-year-old man from metro Manila, Jaspher Romulo, was rescued from drowning on the sea in Baler, Aurora on a Maundy Thursday.

Romulo was swimming when he was taken away by strong waves. Police responded immediately and the victim was rescued.
