Jack Animam signs with Ringwood Hawks in NBL Australia

The 25-year-old center is adding a new journey to her career following stints with four different club teams.

"We're incredibly fortunate to bring Jack to Ringwood, we have been following her journey for a while now and we are really excited to finally have her here,” said head coach Jeremy O Toole on a report by Australian-based newspaper The Philippine Times on its social media.

Animam, who recently finished her one-season stint with Wuhan Shengfan in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association (WCBA) last year, averaged 11.4 points and 12 rebounds after 35 games.

In August 2021, the former National University standout launched her pro career in Europe after suiting up for Radnicki Kragujevac in the First Women's Basketball League of Serbia before sustaining knee injuries four months later.

In only eight games, Animam’s talent was on full display and record an average of 20.0 points and 14.3 rebounds.

Once she recovered, Animam returned to the scene and joiner Toulouse Metropole Basket in the Ligue Féminine de Basketball in France before transferring to USO Mondeville all in 2023.

While juggling a meaningful pro career, Animam also simultaneously answers to national team duty as she trains with Gilas Women back home.

Animam led the Philippines to a quarterfinal appearance at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China after also helping the squad to a silver medal finish in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia last year.
