On the eve of the Easter holiday, a lone hare stands and looks at a job well done. Eggs are seen laid out all over the fields, the result of an entire night’s worth of work.
For the Easter Bunny, the Easter holiday is no simple task. It entails a worldwide route, similar to that of Santa Claus. One striking difference, however, is the Easter Bunny has no army of elves to assist in his tasks. Each egg the Easter Bunny places down is the result of a year’s worth of labor. Taking into account how many around the world celebrate the holiday, the Easter Bunny spends much of the year preparing just the right number of eggs so that none go to waste.
The eggs are split into different categories, each according to the geographical location’s preference. Western countries tend to prefer chocolate eggs. Asian countries vary, some opting for your everyday egg to use for breakfast, others preferring the salted egg variety.
The Easter Bunny keeps track using a method he borrowed from Santa Claus, the naughty or nice list. The nicer you are, the better quality of eggs you’ll be receiving. Those under the naughty list get rotten eggs. As a rare treat, some might be fortunate enough to encounter a golden egg on the hunt. Although the odds are similar to finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
To place each egg, the Easter Bunny hops at an intense speed. Scientists estimate it to be faster than the speed of sound. He maps out each egg placement and prepares a calculated hopping trajectory to ensure he stays on the right path.
Considered a shy type, the Easter Bunny opts not to give any interviews this year. Through a prepared statement, he shares his well wishes to all.
“May you all have a pleasant Easter morning. I hope the eggs are to your liking. I know many of you choose this time to relax and spend time with your family. Here’s to a fruitful year for everyone! May there be less woes and hardships but instead more blessings and good things to come your way. Happy Easter!”
