The Police Regional Office-3 recorded 30 drowning incidents in Central Luzon from January to March 30.

PRO-3 Director Police Brig. Gen Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. encouraged the people to take extra precaution while swimming in beaches and resorts.
Hidalgo ordered the deployment of personnel trained in water search and rescue in beaches and resorts in the region to complement the deployment of lifeguards and ensure public safety.
“If you plan to swim on a beach, you have to make sure that you are in the company of skilled swimmers.”
The PRO-3 Regional Tactical Operations Center said from January to date, a total of 30 drowning incidents were recorded in Central Luzon, in which 27 adults and three children died.
Forty-five drowning incidents were recorded in the region from January to May last year. Forty-two victims died.
Meanwhile, the Coast Guard Aurora and Baler Tourist Police rescued three individuals from drowning in Sabang Beach, Barangay Sabang, Baler, Aurora on Black Saturday.
Two were from Dingalan, Aurora and the third was from Meycauayan City, Bulacan.
They were rescued and brought back to shore and given medical attention and assessed to be in good physical condition.
