10-year-old boy killed in Black Saturday collision

A 10-year-old child died when the motorcycle he was riding driven by a teenage boy collided with a truck in Zamboanga City on Black Saturday.

Police identified the victim as Lawrence dela Cruz, a resident of Barangay Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

Dela Cruz was riding a motorcycle driven by a 17-year-old Baby Boy Kibiri on the bypass road in Sitio Luyahan, Barangay Pasonanca when it encroached on the other lane and collided with a Mitsubishi Canter truck driven by James Trinidad Antonio, 36.

Kibiri and Dela Cruz were taken to the hospital where Dela Cruz was pronounced dead.

Both vehicles incurred damages.

Police are investigating the incident and placed both vehicles under their custody.
