Cops net P2.3-M shabu in Surigao City

BUTUAN CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth P2.3 million in a buy-bust operation in Surigao City on Friday, March 1.

The 51-year-old suspect, a high-value individual and a top priority target in the illegal drugs trade, yielded seized 21 sachets of shabu weighing a total of 352 grams.

The suspect, whose identity was temporarily withheld pending the arrest of his cohorts, and confiscated items are now in the custody of the Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office for proper disposition.

PRO-13 Director Police Brig. Gen. Kirby John B. Kraft said the suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
