CAMP Florendo, La Union – A parcel containing suspected dried marijuana leaves and kush were discovered by a delivery rider in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on Maundy Thursday.

A report reaching the Police Regional Office-1 (Ilocos) said the delivery rider sorted a parcel on Palm Sunday containing adhesive remover addressed to an individual who lives in Laoag City and Pancho as seller.
The delivery rider informed the receiver about the parcel but he denied ordering an item and claimed he is from Batangas City.
The rider explained that the parcel had been fully paid by the sender. But the receiver said he is not interested in claiming the parcel and told the rider to just claim it.
The rider declared the parcel as successfully delivered in their database and kept the in the compartment of his motorcycle.
Out of curiosity, the delivery rider opened the parcel on Maundy Thursday and found the package to contain suspected dried marijuana leaves wrapped in plastic and kush stored in a self-sealing transparent plastic bag weighing more or less 30.5 grams and worth P3,300.
He reported his discovery to the police who are now conducting an investigation.
Ilocos police chief Police Brig. Gen. Lou F. Evangelista thanked the confidential informant from a force multiplier of the Ilocos Norte police Provincial Intelligence Unit who reported the incident to lawmen.
